We sell a range of floor insulation including superfloor, foil-tec single and foil-tec double. They can be used to insulate flooring that is suspended, made of concrete and tongue and groove floor panelling.
Superfloor is a high performance floor insulation to be used in conjunction with underfloor heating systems and can be used with traditional floorboards or with the more modern tongue and groove that is being found in many more homes these days.
All of the underfloor insulation the we provide here at YBS is made up of a multiple number of layers that have all been treated with a polyethylene so that they give you an insulation system for your flooring that will not corrode over time due to having to face elements of nature.
As with all the foil we use for the floor insulation you will find that the material is extremely tough wearing and long lasting which has been designed so that it will create a little pocket of air that has low emissivity beneath the flooring so that any heats will not be lost and therefore reducing your heating bills.
You can exceed the current building regulations requests for u value as the superfloor insulation will help to increase them. It is fully certified and goes under the name of foil tec.
If you are looking for floor insulation for a solid floor application then the super floor board is laminated on all of the layers with the top layer is a special woven split film and consists of a locating gris so that you can take all of the pipes used for heting the floor and fix them securely using correct spacing measurements.
The bottom layer of the foil tec can be made from an expanded or extruded polystyrene or a polyurethan material all depending on what kind of budget you have available for your building insulation project.
