1. Inner
blockwork to be built first. (NOTE: Therma-Flect
Wall Board must extend below the level of the internal
flooring insulation).
2. Build a minimum of four courses
of internal blockwork with the first course brick ties set at DPC
level.
3. Offer up the Therma-Flect
Wall Board board to the inner leaf with the foil faced membrane
facing outwards into the cavity, ensuring that the 50mm of overlaps
face downwards and to the right to form a waterproof skin.
4. Secure Therma-Flect
Wall Board with YBS Retaining
Clips at the top and bottom edges. Cut vertical slits in
the membrane at the point where the horizontal overlaps meet wall
ties - this will allow the foil membrane to stay flat.
5. Build outer leaf. After raising
each wall section, loose mortar should be cleaned off theinsulation
board. Never allow loose mortar into the cavity, or slip behind
the Therma-Flect Wall Board
6. Build next course and fix Therma-Flect
Wall Board as above. Ensure Therma-Flect
Wall Board is installed with vertical joints staggered.
